A significant event took place in economic life of Azerbaijan in 30 June 2008. First time in history, delegates from Azerbaijan — the director of companies «Forex-AZ» and «İnvest-AZ» Elshan Guliyev and the head of the Baku Stock Exchange rang the opening bell of NASDAQ Stock Market — one of the biggest American Stock Exchange markets.

Founded in 1971, NASDAQ Exchange Market is one of the biggest online trade markets with daily turnover of the securities of over 3500 companies including the russian companies. It specializes in securities of high-tech companies (electronics, software etc. production). One of the three main stock markets in USA (along with NYSE and AMEX) is also a subdivision of NASD. Additional eight european stock markets belong to it besides NASDAQ.

First time in the world, all the trading processes were completely automated at this very stock market and the trading activity entered the new era.
